The design is the first step to get your garments ready for manufacturing. This is where we determine what your activewear will look like through sketches and images.
Technical Package
This document is the blueprint of your garment. You wouldn’t build a house without plans, right? Don’t skip this step! An activewear technical package will lay out all the details associated with the aforementioned design. Some of these include garment measurements (specs) and construction details.
Garment Pattern
A legging may look like a simple garment, but a lot goes into making sure it fits correctly. Much of this happens in the garment pattern. It’s a two dimensional template used to cut out your fabric, which will later be sewn into a three dimensional garment. Custom Clothing Manufacturers often offer this service. With us- the patterns belong to you!
Material Sourcing for Activewear
Materials also go a long way to achieving the ideal fit. If you check the label of some of your favorite sports bras or leggings, you’ll likely find 1 or more fiber contents mixed with some form of spandex (lycra/elastane). The content is just one of the many attributes that goes into making a knit material. In the sourcing process, we’ll dive deeper into the materials and what your brand requires.
Approved Sample
A complete physical garment, following all details in the tech pack, with accurate fabric and trims. This provides a visual representation of the garment and is typically the final step in Apparel Design and Development.
